As a former Chippendale dancer, I for one take exception to your insinuation that it is a degrading profession ;) J/K... As a dancer, I would look alot like Chris Farley on SNL

Dated reference or not, this is my favorite Dexter yet... keep 'em coming!

Hey Nick! I'm sorry wasn't sure how to contact you, but I had a question. You have a archive post (http://nick.typepad.com/blog/2004/07/crack_traffic.html) about IISMods.com, which you highly recommend. I'm currently desperate for help with installing/configuring the license. I have bought the mod_rewrite.dll and I'm unable to get past the 200 URL limit for the unlicensed version. I have the license but there are no instructions of how to install or configure??? I've tried contacting the site support numerous times but no luck! I'm going out on a limb here and figuring you might know something since you spoke highly of the product. Please provide me any help if you can. Do you know how to install/configure the license so I do not have to restart the server? Thanks. email: anthonyon(AT)gmail(DOT)com

Anthony -- It was actually me that spoke highly of the IISMods product...Please feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can do to help. You have to use the username/password you got from them at registration and get them into your registry so that the DLL will consider itself registered...I'm not sure why IISMods is no being responsive, I'm not affiliated with them -- just a happy customer. :)

Obviously, I hadn't had my first cup of coffee when I wrote the above -- What I *meant* to say was --

You need to use the *Name* and *Registration Key* they provided you with at time of purchase. They need to be imported into the registry in a particular way. They should have sent you a ZIP file with a .REG file inside. In this day and age of potentially overly sensitive anti-spam and anti-virus e-mail gateways and programs, it's possible that the attachment was removed and you have missed it inadvertently. Anyway, touch base with me...and I'll see if I can help.
